While I can't say it's a big issue to use a traditional watch band with a belt-buckle type closure, this velcrro-based band is incredibly convenient to put on, very comfortable, and easy to adjust to the perfect fit. I must admit it took me about 5-10 minutes to figure out how to attach it to my watch, but once figured that oiut it went on easily and, as earlier stated, is incredibly easy to put on, adjust, and take off. I've read other reviews about the potential short life span of the velcro, so we'll see how that goes, but if you're not too rough with it and avoid getting it wet, it should last a long time. The big selling point for me was ease of use, but I also thinks it's pretty attractive.
