I use this kit for international travel because I've found that brick-like one-piece multi-prong adapters don't stay in place in many outlets. because of their weight. Additionally, one-piece adapters are difficult to place in tight spaces (such as the narrow gap between the bed and nightstand where the only outlet in the room is). The only advantage of one-piece adapters is that they are slightly lighter than a set of individual adapters. So far I have used this kit in four European countries (France, Poland, Austria and Hungary). They all use the same European adapter. I plugged and unplugged this adapter about 50 times over the course of a month. The European adapter proved to be durable, firmly entering the sockets of 4 countries and not falling apart.
