It took awhile, but after an extended drought in our area of the east we finally got some much needed rain from outer bands of a hurricane. And while the rain was nice to have it also meant a lot of leaf cleanup before (if you knew the rain was coming), during and after. That meant some wet and muddy conditions and a chance to slip these bad boys on and give them a whirl before stalking any game in the wild.Just taking these out of the box I knew they were manufactured well. I was holding my breath though because it is all about the fit. As soon as my foot slid into place I knew peace of mind was on deck because they felt so snug around my entire foot and ankle. I've worn muck boots and rubber boots that are always just a little too loose around the bridge and ankle as if that is a standard of the rubber boot. It's not - comfort should not distract you from more important tasks at hand, ie, fall cleanup and THEN hunting (have to handle responsibilities first :) At first, the feel of my foot felt disconnected from the sole of the boot because they needed breaking in, but they seemed to soften a bit and I felt more confident in my agility wearing them. The back kickplate above the heel is perfectly positioned for that oft-lonely task of taking off boots, It has just enough material for the opposing foot to catch on to and exert optimal leverage. Real nice. They clean easily also.Overall I would highly recommend these to my friends and relatives with a solid five star rating.
