Headphones are good. Amplifier? Spring.

I bought these when they first came out. Was looking for something that would simplify the crazy mess of cables I have with the Tactical Audio Controller while still maintaining the clear audio quality that the TAC delivers. I was very disappointed. The headset itself is great. An interesting closed/open hybrid setup allowed for a slightly larger soundstage than a traditional closed system while retaining the noise-cancelling capabilities such systems are revered for. The headset is also very comfortable. There is a microphone. Good. There's nothing outstanding (good or bad) about it. However, SuperAmp has many disadvantages. While the Bluetooth connection is convenient and doesn't require a cable to be connected to the controller, the sound is extremely muffled. I've never been a huge fan of the SuperHuman Hearing feature (I like its balanced sound, don't bleed my ears from too high frequencies just to hear the enemy 15 meters further than usual), but it seems like you need this one Activate function to generally hear enemies with SuperAmp. Even after applying the low volume "fix" according to the Turtle Beach forums, it still lacks volume and balance. My advice? If you want an external audio system to enhance your Xbox gaming, get the Tactical Audio Controller. MAY ONLY consider buying the Elite Pro 2 headset if you wear glasses and play long sessions. TL; DR: SuperAmp is terrible, headset is bad. Too overpriced for what you get. Get the Turtle Beach Tactical Audio Controller instead.
