Review on CUSTONEPARTS Electric Fuel Pump & Install Kit: Perfect Fit for Multiple Models by Paul Zimmer

I asked if this would fit my 2006 Ford Explorer. Revain said it would, but it's not listed in the description. The seller told me it is universal and should fit, but I may need to make adjustments. Next time I'll just pay extra and use Motorcraft. It takes too long to replace a fuel pump to end up with a marginal part that might not even work. It worked, but I had to solder the wires from the assembly to the new pump (the wires in the assembly were melted). Also, the filters that came with it were 1/3 the size of my original filter. Now in the tank the Explorer runs, but noticeably not as smooth as before the old pump failed. I dare to guess that it is a pump as nothing else has changed on the car. It works, technically.
