They seem to be holding their edge pretty well. I will say it wasn't me.

I sharpened them before use, they seem to hold a sharp edge quite well. I have to say I haven't turned in a while, but it was just what I needed to improve the quality of my bowls - I even went back and smoothed out the inside base of some of the bowls I used to make. It was possible to make a goblet with them, they are much more versatile than other scrapers I have, for all round objects. This is definitely a fantastic price and hopefully they continue to hold up.
