Review on Canon EOS SLR Camera Lens EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM by Somchai Kittisak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I was really dissatisfied with this lens when I bought it and used it to take my first pictures because the shots with an open aperture were foggy and dark. I started to comprehend the issue, read numerous articles and reviews, tested it on a target, in the street, and in the studio, and as a result, I discovered that the working aperture for cameras with a crop factor begins at 5.6. When I later switched to full frame, the issue was resolved and the lens was sharp at any aperture and focal length. The 24-105 loves light and pure air extremely well, but in dim light, it has some difficulty focusing. The lens needs a strategy and the capacity to make use of its capabilities for the outcome to be on par. This is, first and foremost, a tool that you need to learn how to use. If the letter L is written on the lens and a red stripe is visible, then there is no need to think because then absolutely all photographs will be masterpieces. The colors and sharpness are generally good, and any flaws can usually be fixed in Photoshop or Lightroom. It fits well in the hand, and the optical stabilizer definitely does its job. In terms of volume and color saturation, 24-105 is inferior to 24-70; the pattern is flatter and the colors are less intense. The lens is incredibly valuable in terms of both capabilities and cost; it won't be left on the shelf for long, so I urge everyone to get one!

Pros
  • There are practical focal lengths, constant 4, a stabilizer, a lens hood, and a case present.
Cons
  • It is unfortunate that the lens lacks internal focusing because the minimum working aperture on a crop is 5,6
