This is a piece of plastic and there is nothing to do or not to do. This is probably Vantec's biggest source of revenue. The entire hard drive assembly, which includes the electronics and tray, costs about $12. A tray that probably costs 10 cents to make sells for $7-9. My proposition. If you're not buying a lot of trays at a time, buy the whole block. You pay another $3 and get an extra or second unit to use Unit.So why 5 stars. My policy is to rate a component and penalize it based on an unscrupulous supplier's marketing ploy.
