everything you want. Very bright in my opinion. I was amazed when he climbed the basement stairs without turning on the light in the house. He just turned on the light. It shone very brightly, illuminating the stairs as he climbed them. I saw another review that mentioned the lights out lol. It is in test mode. In test mode, it turns off after beeping and flashing. Below that is a plain old slide switch that toggles between off, test, and on only. In OK mode, once the jaw is activated, a roar is heard and the light stays on. Press the jaw again to manually turn off the light. It was easy for my 5 year old to turn it on and off with his jaw and was comfortable to wear. It's strong and durable with nice looking Trex and we're very happy with it.
