God these things are expensive. As I said in another review, I hate every time I have to order a new one. But for printing high-quality photos on Canon paper, these Canon inks are second to none. Color accuracy, ease of use and the all-important "end result” make them the preferred choice for high-quality image printing. I use mine on a Canon Pixma iX6820 and when I print in high quality mode on Canon's finest 13 x 19 inch (A3+) glossy or matte paper, I'm still shocked at how good the results are. All inkjet prints will fade. over time, especially if you print in a place exposed to the sun or humidity, but genuine Canon inks last better over time than competitive inks. Please note - and this is very important - this is the "XL" version of the cartridge. It is the same physical size as the CLI-251 C but contains more ink than the standard cartridge. I am trying to use the "XL" " version to buy. Versions when I can, due to some increased (slight) cost savings and not having to change the cartridge as often. So how do I deal with the costs? Photos I'm sticking with these Canon inks. Despite the price, their excellent, consistent performance makes them a five star product.
