The claim that holes 12.5" apart will fit is misleading. The holes on the Epson pictured are about 12 inches apart left to right. If you fully extend the two mounting arms directly opposite, their holes will be 12.5 inches apart. But not a single projector that I know of is mounted like this. Usually you need to create an X pattern with the brackets, so you need to measure the DIAGONAL distance between the holes on the projector. Although I was still able to mount with 3 brackets and it was solid enough. It places the mount just behind the projector's center of gravity, so the projector barely has a front end, which suits me. The rest of the mounting system is solid and fairly solid. It wobbles when shaken, but unless you live near train tracks or above a nightclub, you probably won't notice.
