Poor quality for power and electrics

The plug was of very poor quality and didn't go well with thick RV wiring. I had to use it because the old fork was already cut off. stroll. I don't know if this journey will last or not.

Urgently need a replacement

This is a great product. I'll probably get another one for the RV Toolbox. Just in case. Easy installation. Need a screwdriver and wire cutters (for the old wire). Prepare the wires for the existing cable, a few screws and the connector comes off, insert the wires and voila! It took about 10 minutes (including wire prep).

Connecting to 10 gauge isn't easy, but in 20 minutes I was able to make a power cable to connect my generator to the house. I ordered them and the picture showed a yellow plug, they came orange. Don't worry, a prominent placeholder for this app is a good thing. Good seal around the connector and I added some tape to the cable to keep the clamp tight. I would buy again.

Adjusts very well to wires of different gauges

Used this to make a heavy duty 6/3 strand extension cord for my 3000w crepe machine. By removing the rubber plug where the cable enters the connector, the cable fits very snugly and can be locked in place with a screw clamp. The 6 gauge wire was too big to fit in the groove so I split the stranded wires to fit either side of the screw and was able to get it working that way. Looks well built.

Rugged design Mates with plugs, sockets and sockets

Although a #10 cable is sufficient to carry 30A, this plug accepts up to a #6 gauge cable (50A) when that cable weight is required to reduce voltage spikes on long runs. Once this connector is removed (requires a thin Phillips screwdriver), all electrical connections are easily accessible. The live blades of this connector are designed to provide a good connection to both solid and stranded conductors up to size #6. For use as a replacement plug or as part of a homemade cable, this cable comesโ€ฆ

For indoor use only!

I ordered this replacement plug to repair a damaged power cord on my 5 wheel camper. Nowhere in the product description (which I always read before ordering) was there any indication of usage restrictions. The product arrived quickly and although it was fairly light for its size, it proved fit for purpose. That was until reading the instructions that came with the plug, which said "for indoor use only". WHICH TYPE?! For real! Will I only use my camper indoors? Hm. Do not order this item if youโ€ฆ

The color differs from the picture, good value for money.

Purchased to replace the plug on my Winnebago Adventurer. Feels solid, the size is right and the directions were easy to follow. My only complaint is that the picture shows an orange plug and the one I received was yellow. I specifically wanted orange. There is no way to select or change it anywhere. I also bought a dog bone adapter in case I need to connect it to a 50 amp box and it also came in a color that wasn't in the Revain pictures. I know it's a trivial thing, but when you've spent theโ€ฆ
