For those confused by the size, the first number is the width and the second is the length. So in my case I bought "3/4-5" which means 3/4 or 0.75 inches wide and 5 feet long. The image displayed for this selection makes it much wider than it actually is, so pay attention to the first number for product width. I think standard aluminum HVAC tape is 2" wide, but 3/4" would work for my application. Remember that this is the caulking and sealing of all the many holes in the hi-hat's top glasses. They are there to set and dissipate heat, but since we are now using low wattage LED bulbs there is no need for all the air vents and associated power loss in the attic. If you do this, make sure the inside of the glass is NOT suitable for incandescent bulbs. Most LED conversion kits include such a sticker, but you can make your own or use a marker if your text is legible. and quite stable. This allows the code to be transmitted in most places (check your location to be sure), saves a lot of energy and reduces drafts in your home. As others have noted the adhesive is strong so make sure you carefully place the exposed tape. The tape is backed with removable paper, but the paper is difficult to remove. I don't know the perfect way to do this, but I've found that it's a lot easier to cut the tape rather than tearing it and not cutting it all the way through. Also, leaving an inch or two of backing paper in place makes it much easier to remove the tape from the backing paper. Good price - recommended!
