This is my first experience with Liquitex Basics acrylic paint. I am new to working with acrylics. Liquitex seems like a good brand and I saw a lot of people using basics so I started with that. I mostly use with gel press plate. I found the yellow in this set to be very watery, containing little to no pigment and therefore very light on paper. I received a bad color? Other colors seem to have a nice consistency and texture. Colours: Titanium White, Medium Cadmin Yellow, Naphthol Red, Phthalo Green (blue cast), Ultramarine Blue, Mars Black. ideal for learning color theory and mixing colors, so they are not primary colors. (When I bought them I couldn't find the description of the colors in the Revain description. I had to look them up elsewhere). On paper, raspberry naphthol appears pink rather than true red. Phthalo Green is a shade of blue.
