I ordered a total of 6 sets (4 each) of these casters to replace the existing casters on the stems of my 4 kitchen chairs. Virtually ALL have failed in one way or another, although the biggest challenge each of them has experienced has been my weight (230#/4 times a day). They couldn't even support my wife's weight with 1/2 mine. In addition, they quickly failed. I bought the last set 2 months ago and they have been limping for the past few weeks while I waited for a replacement (different make, different model). Of the wheels in service, 4 had bent shafts when they were replaced (see photo), and on 4, the ball bearing cages "bounced" during operation, apparently due to the lateral torque seizing the wheels. one race and no free wheel/chair movement (nearly impossible to photograph, although I did recover most of the 'lost' ball bearings rather than leaving them on the floor to be vacuumed). NOTE: Sudden failure of a separate stem roller (in the seat you're sitting on) can cause the passenger to "judge" movement, which can lead to all sorts of "pranks"!
