Review on 🌬️ Maximize Air Quality with the Home Reusable Furnace Filter 14X30X1 by Edwin Kreps

Low flow as advertised

Makes an unacceptable whistling noise but worse, the filter blocks the air more than a cheaper replacement filter. Consult an HVAC professional prior to installation as restricted airflow can shorten the life of the fan motor or burn it out. I work in the HVAC industry. 1 inch filters are initially unreliable but I figured since K&N did a good job on automatic filters they would perform similarly. It doesn't, and it uses a waxy substance to trap lint, dust, and particles, much like car filters. This substance is too thick to provide adequate flow per square inch regardless of size. Check the filter while the device is running (safe of course!) and remove it immediately when the suction is strong enough to make it difficult to remove as it is too restrictive. Your filter shouldn't be noisy and shouldn't be pressed against the frame so hard that it's difficult to pull out with the fan running. I would buy a washable filter that works just as well as a disposable filter, but it doesn't.

Pros
  • Oven parts and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
