Slightly larger than expected, had to order one size smaller, but robust and well made. This is my first season with it but so far it has been totally waterproof and durable. My horse normally wears 78 inches, but I go for 80 inches when I expect to add a layer underneath. The 80 was too big for him, but the 77 fit perfectly; still enough room for one layer if necessary. Warm but not too hot. I'm in Northern California and my 27 year old retiree doesn't have a haircut. I was looking for something that would add some warmth without going overboard. This is definitely a mid-weight quilt perfect for cold rainy days.
