Review on SlipDoctors Fiberglass Bathtubs Barefoot Friendly by Eric Jenkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Exceeded my expectations.

The ground we used this on was a brand new 'gravel' fiberglass insert. We thought it would be easy to stand on the pebbles without slipping. Boy were we wrong! This product worked great and was easy to use. I thoroughly cleaned and dried the shower floor, then sanded lightly with fine grit sandpaper to allow the product to adhere, then thoroughly cleaned and dried the floor again before applying the product. The tank was definitely enough to completely cover the floor in the shower (the tub turned into a walk in shower). I let it dry for a few hours then went back and applied another coat to use up the bottle. There wasn't enough product for a full 2nd coat and I don't know if 2 coats are necessary. With the second layer I did not reach the edges and corners. You don't stand that close to the edge or in the corner of the shower, so no problem. Everything has been fine for 4 months. Shower for a 92 year old girl and she is very happy with the result. That's a lot better than a rubber bathmat, which gets moldy, slippery and doesn't look as good easily. The shower was practically unusable prior to this product. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is such a small product for the price. I would recommend and would buy again if I had another floor that needed it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled wrapper
