Fantastic phone, excellent quality for the price. The call is very retro, the sound quality and microphone are perfect. I work in a hotel and we thought it would be nice to buy some retro phones and put them in our public places, not suspecting that they would tell us how cute retro phones are. I read some reviews that were negative where people talked about sound quality or static sound even though it rang and made a noise when not in use. It's not a phone, it's your phone line, many phone lines contain static electricity and exposure to the elements or intruding water will degrade quality. Many of today's digital phones don't have the same problems as older phones like this one, it's very simple and works well if you have a good phone line. Ask your grandparents, they can tell you some stories about such phones in the past. So far we have bought more than five of these phones, several months have passed and not a single problem has arisen.
