Good screen! - my new rating

Received this as a replacement for an Eizo monitor almost two years old that had a pink tint around the edges of the screen. Eizo's customer service was unhelpful, charging nearly $700 for repairs, which of course aren't covered by the 5-year warranty. Terrible company, I will never deal with them again. Hello ASUS! I'm glad I found this monitor. My main uses are photo editing, light gaming (flight simulators) and general usage. I love it so far! Color accuracy was good from the start, but I calibrated it on my i1 device and it got even better. The uniformity is probably not 100% perfect, but it is quite acceptable. Coming from a 24-inch, 1920 x 1200 screen, I was a little worried about wasting vertical space because it's 16:9. That's not a problem, but definitely get at least a 27-inch screen. It's about the same vertical screen size, but with an extra width. All in all, it looks like I grabbed my 24-inch screen by the edges and stretched it out. Unlike the bulky Eizo monitor that looked like it came out of the '90s, the Asus is slim and uncluttered. The screen is semi-matte, which is great for dealing with reflections. The stand is also fully adjustable and works great. Overall, this is a great monitor for those who value color accuracy and color space coverage (full sRGB) at a reasonable price. Two thumbs up!
