Cooler heat range than Delco 41-104

I just installed these in my 2005 supercharged Chevy Tahoe LSA with stock 5.3 LM7. When I downsized the top pulley to 2.55" from the stock 3" pulley, there was a spark knocking in the engine. I read that they run colder than Delco 41-104. Now the spark knock is almost gone.
