Review on Chemical Guys AIR_101_16 Freshener Eliminator by Devon Leach

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It is best to dilute according to the manufacturer's recommendation!

I read most of the previous reviews before deciding to buy this product. Also, after reading the reviews, I was wondering why no one has taken the manufacturer's advice and instructions? They stated that the product can be diluted enough to make a 2 gallon spray. So I put it to the test. Now anyone can repeat my math but I took 2 gallons which equals 128 ounces. The product itself weighs 16 ounces. Divide 128 by 16 = 8. So I went further, instead of 8:1 I diluted the ratio to 16:1. 16 ounces of water (distilled or otherwise) per 1 ounce of product. Worked great! Spray 10 to 15 sprays on interior carpet and rug surfaces and trunk. Leaves a very subtle NEW CAR SMELL after 1 day! So get an empty spray bottle and dilute this product. 16 bottles of this product from 1. Not a bad deal! I'll see how long that lasts. UPDATE: After about a week, the 16:1 dilution ratio only lasted 4-5 days. On the next track I only sprayed 3-4 times instead of 10-15. This also lasted for several days. But it's the subtle smell of a new car that isn't overwhelming. Perhaps an 8:1 ratio will prolong the lasting effect, but for those with a sensitive sense of smell this can be a slightly stronger scent. This is a strong material so please dilute for best results! Good value for money. I stick to a 16:1 ratio and only refresh with 1 spray per day.
