Review on Woodworking Waterproof Anti Cutting Carpenter Blacksmith by Amrozi Goodall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good to go but needs better sealing.

So this is my third apron, meaning I'm just an apron lover. I usually prefer the Deutsche Latchosen because of the superior practicality and ergonomics. But I'm in Florida and it's hot here even in the winter. Admittedly, I wear shorts all year round. This apron is designed to make that possible. I've been using this all winter, but in the summer it's just hot to put on and wear. In addition, leather shoulder pads emit dyes into anything they touch when humidity approaches 100%. At 100% humidity and hanging in the store mold started to appear on them which was amazing. Since then I've killed the growth and used a heavy duty degreaser to remove accumulated dirt and dust from use. They mention that only cold water should be used to keep it growing. But this treatment must be worse because of what I have already described. Instead I prepared a real beeswax treatment and then used silicone to seal the wax. I would recommend everyone at least one silicone treatment before use. It is day and night in its all-terrain capability. I also recommend replacing the attachment straps with something more durable as well as a quick release YKK buckle. I removed the shoulder pads because there is no weight in my use to justify the padding. Much luck!
