As for the bad packing notes, my drive arrived today in a large shipping box with crumpled brown paper wrapped around the smaller inner box. The inner box has been specially adapted for the drivetrain with plenty of room around the drivetrain and built in internal stops to keep the drivetrain in position in the inner box. The drive was enclosed in a traditional anti-static plastic case. If your drive is packaged the same as mine, then you have nothing to worry about. Note: If your package is delivered to your doorstep and you've been outside in the cold for a while (like mine), then of course the journey is cold too. . Therefore, allow the drive to warm up to room temperature before opening the anti-static bag. Otherwise, you should expect moisture to condense on the drive, and even if it's a sealed drive, it's still best to let everything stabilize to room temperature and not risk moisture condensation on it. Just give it an hour or two and everything should be fine.
