Review on 💻 QNA-UC5G1T: USB 3.0 Type-C to 5GbE Adapter by Lorenzo Wood

I bought two of these. One for PC and one for QNAP NAS (which was on the compatibility list). The driver for this is terrible. For both Windows 10 and QNAP QTS OS! This works well if you want to pass a few bytes back and forth, or if you just want to log into a computer remotely. When you transfer large files from this device to another place, it works for a while, but after about 30 minutes of data transfer, it gets blocked. The only way to recover is to turn the device off and on again. Who would have thought this would be acceptable for a NAS? When you transfer large files to this device from other location, it may work for 2-3 minutes or freeze immediately. The only way to recover is to turn the device off and on again. Who would have thought this would be acceptable for a NAS? Reduce your connection speed to 1 Gbps. No questions. Set to 2.5 Gbps, 5.0 Gbps, or Auto Trouble. Too bad developers and testers missed such an obvious test case for a promising product. Contacted QNAP Technical Support. And they were useless.
