This tailgate lock is awesome! Perfect fit for my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Easy to install! Money saved by buying from Revain. Delivered quickly. Before purchasing I called Pop & Lock to see if the warranty was still valid if I bought it from Revain. They told me that if I had a problem with it, there would be no problem. Good to hear! I found a YouTube video to see the installation. The instructions will tell you how to route the wiring from the tailgate under the truck into the engine bay and then drill a hole in the large rubber grommet in the firewall to route the wiring. Interestingly, 6-8 inches from the pillar behind the driver, there is a 2-inch socket under the carpet. I cut a hole in it, ran a wire from the back door to the pole, and then sealed it to keep moisture out of the truck's cab. It worked like magic! Having read that this lock makes a bit of noise when unlocking or locking with the key fob, I insulated the back door before reinstalling the black panel. I used a product called "Self Adhesive Foil and Foam" by Frost King (#FV516) which I bought in HD for $11. It is 12 inches wide x 1/8 inch thick x 15 feet long. It fits perfectly around the opening after the panel is removed. It has glue on it which I applied to the hole, then reattached the panel and screwed it down. It didn't work as well as I had hoped, but the audio was muted by around 25-50%. worth me
