It's larger than the standard rice cooker and the pot stand is a great feature. I actually bought this as a sort of 'squeezer' to squeeze the liquid out of the potato racks for potato pancakes etc and it works great for this purpose as it fits on all the shelves I need at once rather than multiple grids too make. Parties on a small scale. It looks solid, well made. It looks like a real potato digger. difficult to use. Having no real experience pushing in a grab I don't know how it compares to a regular little one, but it's VERY difficult to push in and I have pretty strong arms and hands. I spun the thing, grunting as a drop of mashed potatoes sloshed out of the holes, then had to pop it open, scrape off the "patty" potatoes, and try squeezing again. This was with peeled, fully tenderized potatoes. I've filled the tank up pretty well with a few small potatoes, so maybe it needs to be less full for this feature to work properly? As a liquid press, it works great and suits my needs well. As a climber, be warned.
