The Fox Run Marble Mortar and Pestle is a hefty and beautiful object that will brighten up the kitchen of any real chef or special foodie in your life. The product measures 4" x 4" but is still heavy, solid and a beautiful piece of marble craftsmanship. The product also excels in function - since the top is almost, but not completely, snug against the bottom, you can actually chop spices like pepper, dried rosemary, allspice, nutmeg, etc. A regular mortar and pestle doesn't have a tight fit and the all-round crushing approach that this product has. This product makes a very good gift because of the price range and its beauty and exceptional functionality. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and can only recommend it!
