Review on 1996 2004 Chevrolet Silverado D577 C1098 by Brian Edwards

I bought this as a replacement spool for an 02 C1500 Silverado. It's quite difficult to remove the coil and ignition module bracket (4 studs, 7 nuts and you'll need a 10mm deep head) but the coil is attached to the bracket with long aluminum rivets. You grind the rivet heads, drill out the rivets with a 1/8-inch bit, and knock out the rivets only to find the screws that attach the spare spool to the yoke. Tag by finding #8 x 2" screws myself (which I cut off the excess). ALSO the mount comes in 2 pieces with the spool in between and both pieces need to be cut with a file or parting tool to make this item This is not a roadside repair Otherwise this item worked for me.
