This needle was broken on delivery. The actual pin part has separated from the hinge/lock. Disappointed, I wore something different to the wedding and wanted to send it back. However, I looked into this the next day and realized that this would be an easy fix - you just need to push the hinged end of the pen into the loop and then squeeze the loop a little to tighten it. It looks like high quality stuff. The controls were meant to be hooked, so I was disappointed from that perspective.
