I read all about black cumin and how it's supposed to be a virtual "cure-all" and preventative for countless issues and ailments. While I have black cumin seeds themselves, they have a very bitter, almost metallic taste to them unless you toast them first which can be rather tedious at times. These softgels are easy to take but there is a slight after-taste to them. It's nowhere near as bitter and metallic as the seeds themselves, but I have noticed it. I plan on continuing to include these in my daily supplement assortment.
