I was wearing letter stickers from my old full sized Dell keyboard and was looking for a keyboard without ten keys with a white backlight. The RGB versions are a little flashy for me, I just like being able to see the keys in the dark if I'm going to be gaming or typing in the dark. After researching and comparing products, I settled on this Keychron model. It was dispatched as soon as it was available and arrived safely and undamaged in its shipping box. The retail packaging that the keyboard came in was a professional looking box with graphics sealed in plastic. Upon opening the box, I found the following: * Keychron C1 Tenkeyless mechanical keyboard in a special plastic case * Type-C cable with Type-A adapter * 2 tools, 1 key puller, 1 switch puller * Extra set of keycaps (2 pcs Win and Alt , 3 other assorted keys)* Manual* Quick Start Guide* Switch Replacement Recommendation Card The keyboard is pre-configured for Mac/iOS. I'm a Linux/Android user so the first step was to toggle the switch to Win/Android and then change the corresponding keys on the keyboard. This was my first experience of replacing keycaps, so I was unfamiliar with the process and using the tools provided. The manual and quick start guide clearly show which keycaps need to be replaced, but unfortunately don't describe how to use the included tools. I assumed that a wire loop tool should be used to remove the keycaps, so I used gentle to remove the keycap perpendicular to the keyboard surface. After gently pressing the replacement caps, the replacement was done. Although my current board has a Type-C connector, Keychron provides a Type-A adapter at the end of the cable in case the user's motherboard doesn't have a Type-C connector. I thought it was a professional touch. After connecting and using the keyboard, here are my observations: * It clicks beautifully and is a pleasure to type on * The product overall feels very solid and professionally made, attention to detail! * The manufacturing process of the black keycaps makes it difficult to see the F1-F12 keycaps, especially the F5-F8 keycaps (see attached picture) in the dark. The Dell keyboard I replaced had switches similar to the blue switch now (tactile impact feedback) so I'm learning how to use the red switch properly. Basically, it's just that my fingers don't rest as firmly on the switches as I used to before, otherwise I press additional buttons unintentionally. This is not a problem at all with the product. In the end after using the keyboard for a couple of weeks I enjoy it and will buy it again! I gave it 5 stars for all features but only 4 stars overall due to the difficulty in reading the F1-F12 key names (especially F5-F8).
