This radio uses batteries faster than the equivalent Kato. You have to turn the volume control all the way up to get a decent sound. When I turn it on, I find that the frequency has changed and I need to retune. Not bad radio, just not very good. I bought it because the slide switch on the kato was stuck and eventually broke. May 9, 2019. After my review, Prunus Degen emailed me an offer to return the radio. I didn't because the radio is cheap and I didn't want to worry about sending it back. A few days later, Prunus Degen announced that they had volunteered to broadcast another radio. This one wasn't a problem. The battery life is excellent, frequency drift does not occur. I am changing my rating to 5 stars and adding another 5 stars to Prunus Degen for outstanding service and attention.
