I spotted this product during their crowdfunding campaign but wasn't ready to buy it at the time because too many companies don't deliver on their promises on time, ship non-work products, or just walk away with your money. But after 1.5 years I noticed these names again, but already on Revine. So I decided to buy the device. The delivery was on time, the packaging was a little scratched, but what's the difference. Bought a Nommie Power. Downloaded the app and started the installation process. I ran into an issue that many reviewers mention here (I checked them before buying) - my phone didn't see the Nommi network at first, but after following their email setup instructions I was able to connect . I use this device with my Verizon SIM card that I originally bought for the phone - everything works fine. It's also quite odd to take with you on a trip to Malaysia - I've contacted support to see if their coverage is good - seems to be. I don't think this is a super easy turnkey solution for your grandma, but if you're tech savvy, a VPN + all-in-one sim card connection and data roaming from their app is a very cool option.
