First of all I am giving this 5 stars because it perfectly met my needs for my specific situation. I wanted to display my husband's diploma in its case and open because the case had some beautiful artwork in it. So I needed specific measurements and thickness. Typical shadow boxes were too deep and frames to shallow to deal with the diploma case thickness. This one was more deep than a typical frame and had a thick piece of foam to accommodate the depth of the frame and keep everything tight. I was able to just remove the foam and it made it the perfect depth I needed. A couple of other things. It does not have glass but is plexiglass which is prone to scratching but they do cover both sides of it with a plastic film to keep it safe while shipping. You just have to be careful with it once it is in your hands and you peel the films off. The plexiglass does keep it lighter than what a glass filled frame would so that is a plus. My only suggestion would be that the manufacturer replace the foam piece with something that doesn't disintegrate. It seems pretty fragile and I had a lot of tiny foam pieces and "foam dust" get into the frame that took multiple cleanings both inside and out to get rid of. Maybe a thick piece of cardboard would be better? Other than that, this was a perfect find for me.
