DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER. THIS IS DANGEROUS 1. It feels VERY hot - as in - it BURNS you hot.2. Will NOT turn off if dropped. (I accidentally knocked it over a few months ago and was SHOCKED until I picked it up!) 3. Less than a year after purchase, the INFLATHER stopped blowing.4. I noticed a problem with the blower because the plastic covering the faceplate was starting to MELT and I could smell it. When I called Lasko (because it says a 3 year warranty) they refused to honor the warranty. WARRANTY: Apparently the fact that the fan stopped working was a warranty issue. (And they claim they'll arrange for an exchange.) But when the heat caused it to start melting, it was no longer under warranty. It's in the "claims". It requires you to send it back, please wait 2-3 weeks for inspection. Then they decide whether to be held accountable. During a phone conversation, a LASKO customer service representative tried to blame the shift by asking me how I cleaned it and how often. I informed her that I vacuum it weekly and dry it with baby wipes. She then instructed me that the owner's manual required weekly cleaning and that baby wipes violated the "dry wipe" instruction. I read her part of the instruction manual and there was no mention of a dry cloth, just a "soft cloth" with no alcohol or solvents. Again she insisted that they need to investigate any damage I may have caused to the unit (BABY TOUCH?!). Revain customer service reached out to help me. Lasko has done NOTHING so far, just wasting my time. There are many heaters that will not burn down your house and they come with a guarantee. Buy one of them.
