Review on Orange Morakniv Companion Outdoor Knife - 4.1-Inch Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade For Camping And Hiking (M-11824) by Juan Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice factory edge. Cut pears really well.

I purchased several knives from amazon and this was 10 times cheaper than the other ones with high reviews so I added this to the cart as well. When I received it and washed it I went to cutting some pears and it did plenty fine. It felt well balanced in my hands for reference I wear Large size gloves. For the price point this knife is a great value and I will end up keeping it in the kitchen for now. Though this isn't a fillet knife, I will try taking it out on a fishing trip and filleting some Salmon to see how it does. When I had the knife wet from washing it and cutting my fruits it did not slip when I gripped it. I definitely wouldn't use this for a bushcraft survival type of knife and I won't compare it to my other knives in a different price class. If there was one complaint about this purchase it would be toward the knife sheath. For how cheap the knife was I look at the sheath as a bonus.

Pros
  • The blade's Scandinavian grind ensures exceptional sharpness and cutting precision
Cons
  • The handle may be uncomfortable to grip for extended periods of time
