Super sharp: my feedback

A friend gave this same knife to me! I was actually timid due to the sharpness! She said she paid 10-15 bucks for it and I had to research! I then confirmed that and order 6 for my hunting buddies!

Pros
  • High-quality Swedish steel is razor sharp and exceptionally tough; stainless steel blade stays sharp longer than carbon steel, and is less prone to rust
Cons
  • The sheath may be difficult to put on or take off quickly in emergency situations

One Amazing Little Knife!

If I had to come up with just one word to describe the Mora Companion, it would be, "PERFECT!" As with all Mora knives, you can expect a lot of bang for your buck. The Companion is no exception. This is one of the most widely used outdoor knives ever made. You have seen the Mora Companion on TV shows like Alone on the History Channel. When your life depends on having a good knife, this is the one to buy.It comes razor sharp with an easy to sharpen Scandi grind on the blade. You can literally…

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact, this knife is easy to carry and won't weigh you down on your hikes or camping trips
Cons
  • The knife may be difficult to clean due to its shape and design

Bought just in time to harvest a doe this season

Packed this along for our first day out in deer season and it came in handy for field dressing my son's first deer! Not disappointed. Nice grip. Great weight. Sharp blade!

Pros
  • The included plastic sheath provides safe and convenient storage for the knife when not in use
Cons
  • The knife may not come with a sharpening tool or instructions for maintaining the blade

Nice knife on my review.

Just use my knife for first time to clean a deer. Still just as sharp as when I started. I will buy more as gifts for my hunting buddies.

Pros
  • With its 4.1-inch Sandvik stainless steel blade, this knife is razor sharp and can handle heavy-duty cutting tasks
Cons
  • The blade may not be suitable for filleting fish or other food preparation tasks

Insane value for money

It feels great in the hand, razor sharp, very precisely machined. I can’t think of a reason to not buy this knife. If you’re on the fence, buy it now!

Pros
  • The blade is easy to sharpen and maintain, so you can keep it in top condition for years to come
Cons
  • The handle material may not hold up well against UV radiation

Extremely Impressed! Great Every Day Carry knife

I am impressed.I am a blade fanatic, having used several types of blades daily for well over 3 decades. So, when those around me hear me say that about some type of bladed tool, they usually perk up and pay attention. My posts on my old Revain account, particularly the knife reviews and knife sharpening tools, drew quite a bit of attention, although it’s been a couple of years since I posted reviews there. Pros
  • Really good all purpose, thick sturdy blade that held a nice edge.
Cons
  • The handle may crack or break if dropped on a hard surface

Best knife ever in my review

This is my 6th or 7th purchase of a mora knife. Not because the others have broken, been lost etc. I just find more uses and places to keep one. Tackle box, backpack, safety kit in car, tool chest, the list goes on.Hardy knives, good blades, holds a wicked edge, and very good corrosion resistant stainless steel blades.I bought a Mira fillet knife also, and hopefully will be able to land a salmon to test it out on to review.

Pros
  • The Orange Morakniv Companion Outdoor Knife is an excellent value for the quality and performance it provides
Cons
  • The bright orange color may not be aesthetically pleasing to some users

Nice and cheap - my new review

Disposable knife that will not break the bank and not leave you high and dry. I have a few of them. Eventually the handle will break. But I will but it again!

Pros
  • Very sharp. I used this for fishing bait and so easy to make chunk size.
Cons
  • The knife may rust if not properly cared for and dried after use

An expensive sharp reasonably durable knife

For the money this is a nice, sharp durable knife well worth the price. I’m not sure how durable it will be so I would not classify it as a "survival knife.”

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • The blade may become dull if used on harder materials too often

Very nice knife - my new review

Love the comfort and feel of this knife, came sharp out of the pack sheath is nice with a solid hold on knife, my only con is for me I would love for sheath to be where I could also do a scout carry

Pros
  • Great price on an easy to use and durable knife
Cons
  • The handle may be uncomfortable to hold for those with larger hands

Great knives for my opinion

I've bought three. I gave one to a friend and kept the other two and use quite often. Really high quality and I plan to buy more. I alwayd take one with me when I go in the field or on a hike. I can't believe the price on these.

Pros
  • Very well made and very good value for the money.
Cons
  • The blade may have difficulty cutting through thicker, denser materials

Nice basic knife - my new review

I've had a nice Cold Steel knife for many years, it's what I used to carry in my USCG days. Problem I had with it was it's heavy and it was a high carbon steel type, which rusts if you don't maintain them really well. Since I needed a good reliable knife for camping, I was looking for something that was light and didn't require quite so much maintenance. I was searching for options and kept coming up with knives that appeared to be marketed towards the Prepper Nut/Zombie Apocalypse/Rambo…

Pros
  • Versatile fixed-blade outdoor knife with a 4.1-inch hardened Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade is ideal for carving, food prep, and cutting tinder
Cons
  • The knife may not be ideal for precision cutting tasks

Found a perfect camping companion and ordering more!

Ok, so I did a ton of research looking for a good survival knife and while hunting down the chosen one I came upon this little piece right here. In less than sixty seconds I had placed my order for it. Why? Because the blade is made of what is one of the most ultra premium knife steels made today, and at this price it's a gift. This knife is made by Swiss company Morakniv using Elmax Steel which is made by Swiss company Bohler-Uddeholm. It has a Rockwell hardness of 59-61 RC making it one of the

Pros
  • Sharp blade and cuts cleanly. It does slide out of the sheath a little too easily though.
Cons
  • The knife may be too bulky to carry comfortably in a pocket

Would have been a great knife except one thing!

Knife was sharp out of the box and well-made over-all. Due to the environment, I use it in, (saltwater marsh) I need stainless rather carbon model. The only short coming I see is that it's not full tang. If it would have been it would have been a 5- star rating.

Pros
  • great knife. very sharp. perfect for my winter hammock camping needs.
Cons
  • The blade may not hold up well against heavy use, such as batoning

sharpest blade I own!

the little blade deserves its stellar reviews if ur on the fence don't be . if your put off by the photos which imply a cheap construction well you got a surprise coming , the blades is shaving sharp . extremely comfortable to hold and the size is just enough to clip to my belt and into my back pocket .love it !

Pros
  • Bought this one for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and it's perfect!
Cons
  • The bright orange color may attract unwanted attention in certain outdoor situations

Nice factory edge. Cut pears really well.

I purchased several knives from amazon and this was 10 times cheaper than the other ones with high reviews so I added this to the cart as well. When I received it and washed it I went to cutting some pears and it did plenty fine. It felt well balanced in my hands for reference I wear Large size gloves. For the price point this knife is a great value and I will end up keeping it in the kitchen for now. Though this isn't a fillet knife, I will try taking it out on a fishing trip and filleting some

Pros
  • The blade's Scandinavian grind ensures exceptional sharpness and cutting precision
Cons
  • The handle may be uncomfortable to grip for extended periods of time

Really impressive blade for the price

This blade is perhaps the sharpest in it's price range, comfortable handle, great size. It's so useful and hold it's edge really well, and when it eventually dulls it comes back to life in a few minutes of stropping. It's not a perfect blade - the sheathe fits snugly but it's ugly and feels cheap. Has a belt strap but not comfortable to wear with it. If you're going to hike/camp with it I recommend a different sheathe or storing it in backpack. Despite it's cons I'm leaving it 5 stars since the

Pros
  • Included components: Knife and sheath
Cons
  • The handle may become discolored or stained over time

Solid inexpensive work knife

For less than $20, I wasn't expecting too much, but this knife has been fantastic.I forage, hike, kayak, collect mushrooms, and spend a fair amount of time in the forest. I wanted a basic knife that wasn't too expensive and I could use for a multitude of purposes - this has been that knife.I've used this for delicately cutting mushrooms from the ground as well as hacking down a small 1 inch diameter tree, cutting off all the branches, and carving it into my hiking stick. The fluorescent orange…

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The blade's thickness may make it hard to cut through certain materials

Cheap has never been this good!

Swedish brand Morakniv has never been a particular favorite of mine. I’ve never been much for the fish cleaning look all of their knives remind me of. This is a much stouter blade than that, but it still has a cheap, plastic appearance that is very much off-putting, subjectively. That said, there’s no disputing that, for the money, Mora is hard to beat. Maybe impossible. The sheath and handle may be nothing more than plastic, but the ergonomics couldn’t be better and the black rubberized…

Pros
  • Fixed-Blade Knives
Cons
  • The blade may chip or become damaged if used to pry open materials

Good knife for the price

Good value for your money, especially if you are on a budget. It has held up for over 10 backpacking bushcrafting adventures The edge has maintained its sharpness. You might consider buying two of these for redundancy.

Pros
  • The Orange Morakniv Companion Outdoor Knife is a reliable tool that can handle any outdoor adventure with ease
Cons
  • The blade may not stay sharp after extended use
