A valuable purchase, some advantages!
Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ARE05 81W4007ARK 15" IPS SSD 512GB Ryzen 4300U Integrated a 16 GB flash drive. Completed 18 GB (4 soldered + 16 physical - 2 virtual). Linux Mint 20, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and other distributions based on Ubuntu 20.04 may be installed. Keep in mind that they are all using the 5.4 kernel, which does NOT have Vega graphics support enabled by default. The answer to this predicament: 1) Enter amdgpu. Exp_hw_support=1 into the kernel boot parameters. But the brightness controls aren't functioning properly. 2) Upgrade to kernel version 5.5 or later. I aimed for 5.72022, and so far, so good.
- Lightweight, affordable, and with a decent screen and adequate performance.
- Even though there is a slot for a SATA drive, the package does not come with the necessary cable. minimal BIOS configuration.
