Bottom line, it worked. I bought this to install a Pioneer AVH-X3800BHS in my 2003 Ford Explorer. Everything is fine except for the bracket that is attached to the back of the radio. The hole for the radio mount was too high for the mount to slide over the rail in my car. Not that big of a problem, the radio was still very stable. The finished results looked professional. I'm only taking off one star because the kit is all plastic. I was expecting the side mounts to be aluminum. The standard was steel and I remember a time when fasteners were aluminum. I confess the last time I installed a radio was, well, a long time ago. The only thing I'm worried about is the durability of the plastic.
