I needed to reduce the height of my Mini Countryman - because I installed a 4-post lift in the garage -- mainly to be able to store a 3rd car in a 2 car garage. The OEM antennae is about 18" higher then the roof when installed -- but this one is just a few.The reception is not as good -- but being I needed the lower height -- it works. OEM could get stations about 50miles - this one more like 30-35. But will not go back.

Bought this as a smaller replacement for the factory antenna that had seen better days. No trouble installing at all. It can with two different adapters for different ways the antenna might need to attach. No issues with reception. It may cost a little more than other similar products on here but I feel that its worth the few extra bucks. I don't listen to the radio. Music is done through my phone via bluetooth. So I haven't done an extensive test on the reception but it works well enough driving around town from the little I had the radio on. I go the antenna because I wanted to be able to use a certain rooftop carrier without having the box hang way over the hood of the car. Honestly don't use the radio so this was strictly a looks only modification for me. I hated the giant antenna on the roof so this was a must.

This will last forever. Looks great on top of my mini Cooper and once you tighten down. Very hard to remove. Thieves can try. Love it!

Love it! Put it on my 2015 Mini Cooper S so it doesn't look like it escaped from the bumper car electric grid at the carnival like it did with the long antenna from the factory. Picks up all my stations clearly. Great buy

The package includes two options of screws to attach the antena to the car, but none of them fits my mini cooper clubman 2012 (it requires a dowel screw M6 3/4”, not included). I’ll return the product. No opinion on its quality since I couldn’t even install it.

It went on my 2001 Mini S easily with one of the two sizes of threaded studs provided. Reception is good, but I do live in the middle of the city. Seems to be as secure to the vehicle as the original.I'm sure there are less expensive antenna available, but the fit guarantee was worth not having to exchange it.I would recommend.

Works as well as factory and everything you need is in the box. Now I don't have to take off my antenna to go through a car wash.

Hated the original antenna on my Mini! Think it looked like an RC car with that long arsed antenna from the factory. This stubby little fella might not look as good as the shark fin, but it does what it says it does- stubby and still gets fine reception. A+ from me.

Love it! I wish I had bought it a year ago. If you have a Mini-Cooper Convertible you should get it. Get rid of that annoying long whip antenna and get this one, totally opens the view when you have your top down. I was skeptical when I got it and was afraid I was going to lose radio stations, but I have noticed no difference. I put it on my 2010 Mini, but there are two screw attachments, so it should fit other years. Took about a minute to install. Very happy with this purchase.

Looks great. Easy install. No noticeable loss of signal, but I live within a not very big metropolitan area with a not terribly crowded dial. Haven’t tried it’s maximum range yet, but I guess it wouldn’t surprise me if I lost signal earlier. Even if I do, no complaints. That’s what Bluetooth is for.

Way better look with the stubby antenna! I didn’t realize how small it was until I placed it on. No change in my radio reception at all! Love it and would recommend

Simple, easy to install, stubby and comes with extra adapter for alternate thread size. Minimal packaging and thoughtful design.Havent given it the road trip test but at least my radio works again.

Looks and fits good and super easy to install. Giving it 4 stars, because it seems reception has taken a small hit. Not quite as good as the stock antenna, but I also don't have to take it off at the carwash, so overall it's a win.

Another good quality product from CravenSpeed. Install was simple. Customer service was excellent, as usual. I did notice reception suffered a bit between this and the Stubby (4 vs 2 bars). Quite small when installed. A 3 inch Stubby would be perfect, look and reception.

The stubby antenna fit perfectly on my '09 MINI Cooper convertible and looks a lot better than the original long antenna. No longer looks like a "radio control car". With only a quick test the radio seems to be unaffected by the change.
