To be clear, the reason I purchased this was to replace my existing 16" whip antenna (OEM) as it was cracked and broken. I wanted something smaller and this is nearly perfect. It matches the antenna base perfectly in diameter. Looks OEM (except for "TheStubby" being printed on it). It's heavy and seems to be of high quality; you can tell this isn't a cheap knock off.As for reception, I figured reception would be reduced a little. I specifically spent a little more on this model as it seemed to get better reviews regarding reception. While reception was cut down a bit, overall I'm happy that I can still get local/regional channels on FM/AM. I primarily use streaming BT and Sirius, so that's not a big deal for me.Overall, worth the price compared to others I see selling for half the price. you get what you pay for! Quality!
