If booming bass is all you care about, then these headphones are for you. However, if you want comfortable headphones that deliver good highs and mids in addition to deep bass, then look elsewhere (and be prepared to pay a little more). The first thing that struck me when I got them was how cheap they are: thin, lightweight plastic and cheap vinyl ear pads. Then I tried them with different games and songs. As I said, the bass is deep and resonant. However, any higher level sound was muddy and muffled. It was like diving with a subwoofer. I only tried them for about 30 minutes because in addition to the noise driving me nuts, the headset itself gave me a headache (maybe they loosen up with use, but I won't find out) and my ears were sweaty for the equivalent by Tupperware.
