I bought this product in April but due to back surgery in May followed by months of no housework and little cooking I started using it in December or January. I peeled a dozen eggs for egg salad. After many, many years of struggling to clean eggs with the egg whites stuck to the shells in chunks, it was a sheer delight to peel 12 beautiful eggs and not waste the egg whites I so desperately needed. Everything was great except. After I peeled the eggs for the first time, I tapped the rim of the bowl with the tool to get rid of a piece of shell and it almost broke in half between the end of the peeler and the inner metal support. There is no guarantee and replacing it after a single use is too expensive. Very sad. I saved it in hopes that I could find a way to fix it.
