Disappointed - Frame

Good. I looked at all the different bumpers on the market, bought this one from Luv-Tap which seemed like the best design to me and was SO EXCITED to get it. It's been on my car for a few weeks and all I can say is I'm disappointed. One of the main advantages for me was the fact that the description of the Bumper Thumper specifically states that it can be fixed with only 2 holes/screws (as opposed to 4) in the bumper. I drive a 2016 Dodge Journey and my bumper isn't wide enough for 4 holes so I thought this would be perfect. Unfortunately, due to the undersized (width, not length) screws that come with the Thumper and the license holder's weight, this isn't very secure. In fact, if someone pulled the thumper from underneath, I'm not even talking about a hard pull, the whole thing would come loose along with my license plate. The bolts I previously used with my license plate were stock (purchased from BMV) but certainly not long enough with the extra thumber width to continue using them. I even went to Lowes to try and get 3" bolts that were a bit wider than the ones that came with them and didn't have them so I'm not sure what to do next because I don't know the exact bolt size Don't know to look it up. The 2 small screws that are included to attach the bottom of the plate to the Thumper also don't fit, they have nothing to 'hang in' and one is already gone. Long story short I'll probably get Thumper out of my car before some bully tries to steal my plate, I don't have $30 and I'm very disappointed :(

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
