HUGE YES! Finally I can sleep!

I live in a townhouse and if the neighbors have their garage lights on it's like daytime in my bedroom. I have bamboo matchstick blinds and thick lined drapes and still couldn't block the light. I looked at many possible options and thrilled to find this. I used these as an additional liner behind the existing drapes and TA-DA my room is dark. Installation was easy. No funky smell. Plus it made my drapes look more lush/full and expensive than they already were. Big win!

Pros
  • Liners
Cons
  • May require frequent cleaning to maintain appearance

Works, but arrived with gross chemical smell/slime, needed a wash.

These blackout curtains liners are easy to add to existing curtains and certainly block light very well! The downside is that as soon as I took them out of their plastic packaging, the room filled with a terrible chemically smell, and the curtains themselves were weirdly oily (huh?) to the touch. Threw them in the wash before hanging.

Pros
  • Easy to remove and reattach for cleaning
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of curtains and drapes

Bye light! for my opinion

These are pretty beast for taking out sunlight. The 3rd pic, please don’t look too much into the light from the sides; the iPhone is trying to enhance the picture. Use pic 2 for side light. So it does exactly what it describes. However, I can’t vouch for the heat reducing, it may but I have no real way to judge. I work night shift and these are pretty awesome, it be nice for the top and sides to be blacked out, but it’s all based on the hanger it uses. Either way for the price and how dark…

Pros
  • Maintains the aesthetic of your existing curtains while adding functionality
Cons
  • May require the purchase of additional hardware for installation

Did the job good for me

I wanted a curtain liner to fit behind the curtains to block out the afternoon sun. The curtains have grommets so I needed something to work with this. These liners worked perfectly, were easy to install, and slide easily with the curtains when I want them open. I was a bit concerned because they are heavy but it has not been a problem. Recommend these liners.

Pros
  • 100% blackout fabric, very soft and smooth - Ready to Hang- Fit for 63" length grommet curtain, 16 metal rings included
Cons
  • Off-white color may clash with other décor

They work great! on my review.

When you ask about sheerness I’m not sure what you mean? They not heavy but they are thick enough and dense enough to keep out the light. They also repel the heat, and we are in a serious heat wave right now. The same is true about keeping a lot of the cold out and we have double pane windows. I worked nights for a good part of 20 years and these black outs made that possible so as too sleep during the day. Thanks so much

Pros
  • Absolute Privacy Relax: They will stop the outside world from creeping into your private moments so you can enjoy the privacy with family members and friends to the utmost.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all rooms in the house

Awesome draft protection!

We have a 100+ year-old house with the original windows and I don't like putting tape on the wood to cover the windows in plastic in the winter so we decided to give these a try. Started with the living room since the couch is right in front of north-facing windows and I never want to sit there in the winter. I was totally blown away by how good these work. No cold drafts from the windows! I'll be buying more to do some other windows. They were a bit of work to put on, but nothing unmanageable.

Pros
  • Available in an elegant off-white color that complements any decor
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustments to maintain alignment with curtains

Quality and 100% Blackout

These are high quality, they hang smoothly and are made of soft flexible material. I use them in my nursery behind my sheer curtains on another rod so I can choose to have the sheer curtains with lots of light or pull in the blackout drape for 100% blackout for naptime. These are amazing! I did first purchase another brand, they were stiff and unflattering behind my curtains, I love this brand, they are not stiff and plasticky at all, but they are still thick and insulate from our drafty cold…

Pros
  • Adds a layer of privacy to any window
Cons
  • May be difficult to open and close curtains with liners attached

Perfect blackout curtain liner

I don’t normally write reviews but I almost didn’t order these based upon the other reviews. I received these today and they are of good quality. First there was zero smell and trust me. I can smell the coffee beans in Brazil from Chicago. I can’t tolerate scents that are "off”. Are they using new material? I’m not sure. Second, the rings are not difficult whatsoever. Maybe they are different rings from months ago but it’s just a matter of giving them a slight push down where the…

Pros
  • Blocks out harmful UV rays that can fade furniture and flooring
Cons
  • May not be suitable for homes in humid climates

DOES WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO

I am pleased that they are definitely blackout curtains and I'm certain they will keep the Texas heat out so overall I'm pleased. The hooks were quite stiff and 2 broke as soon as I tried to open them. I guess this is a common problem because I had enough working hooks so they must just automatically give extras, which I appreciate. There are a few stains or discoloration on the back of them in spots. The picture is just one example. It isn't bad enough to return but I am a little disappointed.

Pros
  • Offers thermal insulation to help regulate temperature in the room
Cons
  • May be pricey compared to other curtain liners

Finally some better sleep!

These are not sheer or lightweight and relatively easy to put up. I love my gray curtains but they are light filtering not blocking. But I was annoyed with street lights even with blinds and curtains. Bought these liners and amazing, my room is completely dark at night. They also help reduce outside noise. Not a whole lot but a little.I’m soon replacing curtains in another room and will likely be getting these again. I’d love to purchase light blocking curtains but when you can’t find something

Pros
  • 100% Polyester
Cons
  • May not fit all sizes of windows

Does the job: my feedback

Delivery was on time however the installation is a little tricky but it was done. I installed them while the curtains were up, I think that’s easier than trying to do it all together but I didn’t try it that way. Moving the curtains on the rod sometimes gets a little sticky. All in all I purchased these to cover up some holes that were in my curtains due to the sun.

Pros
  • Sleep Soother Sound Dampening: Blackout curtains encourage the best possible sleep and most comfortable setting for day sleepers and the ones who have trouble falling asleep, by automatically darkening and lowering noise levels.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in all seasons

Good addition to curtains.

Does a fine job of blackout but wish it came in the length I needed. Longest this goes is 92 and I needed 108. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Soft fabric feels luxurious to the touch
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in homes with small children or pets

Blackout liner 10/10

10/10 buy these if you're looking for a blackout liner for your sheer curtains. These are not a curtain but a liner for behind them. Buying more for every bedroom we have!

Pros
  • Great for nurseries, bedrooms, and home theaters
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in all weather conditions

Thick heavy thermal liners . work great.

These are liners, and they are not bright white, but more of a very very light gray. But they work great. Room is pitch black (we live in the city with lots of lights) and the curtains do a great job of reducing heat coming through. Do wish they had a better way to attach then the steel clips, I might try some shower curtain rings.

Pros
  • Easy to install even for those without much DIY experience
Cons
  • May not provide complete blackout during daylight hours

True blackout best in my review

I ordered these liners after being disappointed in my "black out" curtains. First picture you can see half the window with and half without the liner. Second picture is with both liners down, but showing how bright it is outside. I was so happy with these that I ordered more for my bedroom.

Pros
  • Better coverage than I expected for heat and sunlight blockage. Not at all sheet. Somewhat heavy.
Cons
  • May not completely block out all light

True opaque for my opinion

If you’re used to European (aka real) shutters, and miss the black-out they provide, this is what you want.We got a curved curtain bar to black out the light on the sides too.

Pros
  • Useful for reducing light pollution in urban areas
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on all types of windows and doors

Work pretty well good for me

The liners work very well to darken a room and seem to provide some insulation from heat and cold. The rings are a bit hard to open, but are sturdy. I have tab-top curtains and slid the rings between tabs and it works fine. They do not seem to help block noise at all--maybe they are more effective against certain types of noise, but I live within 1000 feet of a casino and the huge generators to heat and cool the place run 24/7 365 days a year and the liners did not help reduce that noise…

Pros
  • Easy to customize to fit any window size
Cons
  • May not provide long-lasting protection against fading or discoloration

Amazing darkness! - my new review

These room darkening liners are amazing! My room is in complete and utter darkness! There was no odor whatsoever. I think my room is a lot warmer too, as the windows are so thoroughly covered. I can't wait to get a great night's sleep in the dark!

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • May require professional installation for optimal use

White blackout liner

I have a 96” window so I ordered 2 sets of these blackout panels. When I opened the package I noticed a few spots that were dirty. I figured no one would see them and moved on. The material is similar to a shower curtain - stiff and plasticky. I layed them out on the floor to try and get the deep wrinkles out from the packaging. No such luck - I tried steam since these can not be ironed. Not much help. Decided to go ahead and hang them but I have serious doubts the wrinkles will fall out. The…

Pros
  • Can be easily switched out with different designs or colors for added variety
Cons
  • May not be ideal for use in homes with pets who might scratch or damage the liners

So many ways to use these, easy to hang!

Wish I knew about these sooner. I bought a pair of blackout curtains that got burned by the sun. So i replaced them with a new pair but this time I knew to look for these panels to protect the outer curtain. Used the rings and am thrilled with the results. The room cooled down so fast. The sun was very hot today! Now my room is like a sanctuary! I liked these best because they don’t make my sheers look gray like another brand that was cheaper. Also the rings are more sturdy and snap together…

Pros
  • Prevents heat from escaping through cracks around the window
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of curtains and drape accessories
