Complete nonsense. I've tested it in several places around my house and workshop (thank god I'm repairing anyway) but this thing is NOT accurate AT ALL. Better knock on the wall and make an educated guess. Out of about 15 attempts with 3 different wall thicknesses, ONCE failed to mark the edge of the post accurately. NOT EVEN. It just squeaks for no apparent reason. Does everyone know? Do I have a bad block? They can't all run at this power or else Craftsman wouldn't be able to sell them.
