Review on 7artisans 12mm F2.8 APS-C Wide Angle Manual Fixed Lens for Canon EF-M Mount: Perfect Fit for Canon M-series Cameras M1 M2 M3 M5 M6 M10 by Jose Guevara

Just got back from a photography vacation with my Canon M6, this lens and another lens from 7artisans. I left the kit lens at home. 12mm 2.8 fast and wide angle. Wide open, this is a great lens for street photography in well-lit cities like Paris. Manual focusing is comfortable, the lens is generally sharp, and there is a slight fade in light in the corners. This lens is metal and looks solid despite being a lot smaller and lighter than my old Tokina ATX-124. As a Prime, it's quick and easy to use. The aperture ring is easy to trip over, but it's just as easy to develop the habit of checking focus and aperture before shooting. I also recommend 35mm, 1.2 - together they make the perfect combination for city trips. Update: The original plastic lens cap is broken. After emailing 7artisans customer service, they sent me a new metal lens cap. 7artisans stands behind their work!
