Doesn't slide out well

I bought this to work with another Velcro mop. The Velcro works great. It's just that the telescope part is terrible. 95% of the time I want to use it I can't telescope it. The place you twist it to pop out is TOO close to where you can unscrew the squeegee holder. So when I try to rotate to the telescope, I rotate the squeegee holder instead. Very frustrating. So I need to use it in main short mode.
