I love this keyboard, it's difficult to set it up really ergonomically due to the workspace

This is my second Goldtouch keyboard. I had another a few years ago. I like the softer feel of these keys, they don't require much pressure and aren't as loud as the previous one. Although I liked their clicks too, it always made me feel so strong, ha. Anyway, I broke the last one by squeezing too hard on the handle that controls the cable, not realizing it was half hooked and locked . my fault It came loose and the keyboard could no longer hold its position without slipping. The keyboard still worked. I switched to other keyboards as this one isn't cheap and my company didn't pay for it. I've been using the Microsoft ergonomic wireless keyboard and mouse for a while. I like its low profile, but it drains the batteries at a ridiculous rate, and the letters wear off the keys with leather oil, and the leather oil makes the palm rest unsightly. I kept checking out the Goldtouch because I love being able to adjust the angle and tilt. Finally decided on Cyber Monday. There are two problems with a truly ergonomic keyboard: 1. The keyboard wobbles when placed in a pyramid shape, there isn't a good stable platform to lean on. Why don't they include fold out legs to secure it? 2. Also, and it's NOT just Goldtouch, all keyboards on all full-height desks have this problem. The keyboard is set too high, even on the keyboard tray, to tilt wrists down. i am a small woman I need a floor to ceiling chair. I even have elevators that I lean on so my knees are at a 90 degree angle. But my keyboard tray is so high that no matter what keyboard I'm using, I bend my wrists to type. If we were to place the tablet, which is said to be mostly on my lap, I could bend my wrist down, but then I wouldn't be able to make the gold touch too pyramidal so I could rotate my hands into a more natural curve ( and stop). kill my shoulders). This is a cool looking keyboard. I like to spread it out to get a good angle that forces me to place my hands properly and not make lazy transitions while typing. I quickly got used to the key layout - I still sometimes feel the delete, ctrl, shift, etc. keys, but I do it on any keyboard, no matter how the keys are arranged. I will continue to use Goldtouch and keep my Microsoft Ergonomic. Collecting dust as a backup. I just wish this and all keyboards were easier to set up so we could tilt our wrists down.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
